Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on April 26th on the 26th of March, 1991. She's an American musician and singer. She was the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. The label debuted her first album titled Pho in the month of October of 2016 when she began getting noticed. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox released her music online in 2012 after she released her five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014, Ari Lennox dropped her single Bound along with the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. The 21st day of July, 2015. Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes' track"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole had her send her songs in the direction of his Dreamville Team in the following year because he was hoping for Rihanna to work together on a few references. On December 8 it was revealed that she had officially signed by Dreamville Records. In the record Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat with Cozz. In October 2016 the singer-songwriter released her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and was an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. In 2018, she performed in two tracks, including the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. On the 16th of July in 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream on her first album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video that was released on September 5. In November, she dropped two singles, 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. In November, 13 the singer released two new singles entitled The No One as well as Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby is a track that she recorded together with Cole for Creed II's soundtrack on 16 November. It then came out as a standalone single in February of 2019 to coincide with her debut album. It was released with an accompanying music video that debuted that was released on February 20, 2019 that surpassed three million views via YouTube within its first seven days. In December of 2018, she was an opening act for From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour in conjunction with 6LACK.
